Comrades in Arms

$0.00

Mark Hawwa is the founder of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, and the face of Donut Garage. Cherine Fahd is an acclaimed artist and academic. Both are are vocally opposed to the genocide in Palestine, and I am proud to count both as friends.

I had Mark and Cherine pose in boxing stance to mimic a Chinese/Soviet propaganda poster. Their names are neatly sprayed in the corner as homage to the original. The "call to arms" scrawled on the other side is based on a deliberately bad translation of a 1960s Chinese army propaganda poster.

Acrylic and spray enamel on wood panel, 120 × 60 cm, 2025
